20 UMIC ® UMIP ® UMI 3 INNOVATION CENTRE UMIC EVENTS UPDATE… You might have noticed some subtle changes to the event spaces and Street area and we hope you like what you see! Over the forthcoming months we will endeavour to make further changes to ensure all of our clients and guests have the best possible experiences with us. If you have any comments or would like to see anything in particular, we'd love to hear from you. We're really pleased with the new look of the UMIC Events section on the main website. Recent changes now allow prospective clients and event organisers to go straight to the page which is most suited to their event. They will be able to get an instant feel for the Innovation Centre and see how their event can work in the spaces from 2 – 140 delegates. Along with key information, testimonials, menus and live event information, the site will be regularly updated with new images and information. A 'news' section is due soon. We hope you like it! In April we held a small event for our tenants and key clients. With our sole caterer, Catering Academy, we provided a complementary lunch to showcase new ideas and menus. The new menus have been designed by our new head chef, Bryn Davies, and will feature a fantastic selection of new finger food items which are perfect to mix and match with your event catering. The full menu will be live on the website very soon. We are very proud to be a part of the Meetings Industry Association (MIA) for 2015 – 2016. As a member, Accredited in Meetings (AIM) ensures that its members are working to predetermined benchmarked industry standards. Providing a consistent service for all of our clients and their delegates, we're pleased to be delivering high customer service which is in keeping and compliant with current industry legislation. New prices and FREE summer room hire We've recently revised and reduced all of our room hire costs and have introduced dedicated pricing for internal tenant companies, UoM departments, NHS Trusts & Foundations and corporate clients. All of our spaces have the key pieces of audio visual required to deliver a successful event or meeting and FREE WIFI for all event delegates. As we move in to summer, we are delighted to offer FREE room hire for all of our spaces! The offer is from Monday 27 July – Friday 28 August (weekdays only) and is subject to clients ordering refreshments and catering with minimum numbers. We are a cost effective option which doesn't compromise quality and customer service in the increasingly competitive Manchester events arena - let us help you and support your next event! Manchester Business School (MBS) UMIC Events are really excited to be supporting further events and courses for Manchester Business School (MBS). Executive Education at MBS is dedicated to working with organisations and individuals to meet their training and development needs. The team work closely with a range of clients including MAG and BP to find innovative ways to apply original thinking to the challenges of the modern business world. The High Value Managers programme in September and November has been running successfully for more than 15 years and is dedicated to equipping managers with the confidence to take on wide ranging business issues. It will be in held in the Dalton Room, Joule Suite and smaller breakout rooms.
