What has changed?
Product;
• AOV's that open into shafts or ducts should be smoke
control dampers, tested to EN12101 - 8.
• Fire doors acting as vents have not been effective in
practice, failing to operate and increasing the risk to
residents.
• Smoke control dampers should be classified for reduced
leakage and applies a minimum operation classification of
C10,000, to ensure the dampers are good quality and
longevity.
