Commercialisation Executive
UMIP welcomes Dr Stephanie Ryding as
Commercialisation Executive in the New Projects Team.
Stephanie started her role in December last year.
Prior to working at UMIP, Stephanie worked in various
roles at North Carolina State University. Most recently
as a Licensing Analyst for the Physical Sciences, in
the Office of Technology Commercialisation and New
Ventures. She held previous roles in the Analytical
Instrument Facility and the Office of Research,
Innovation and Economic Development.
Stephanie has earned an MEng and a PhD in
Materials Science and Engineering from the
University. During the course of her PhD, she
collaborated with industrial partners and carried out
experiments at the European Synchrotron Radiation
Facility, a centre of excellence for fundamental
and innovation-driven research in condensed and
living matter science. She also has industrial work
experience working in research and development for
Huntsman Polyurethane.
Stephanie comments: "I am excited to join the
New Projects Team at UMIP. Manchester has a long
history of innovation and I am eager to assist in the
commercialisation of early stage research into real
world applications that benefit the wider community."
