Graphene Enabled Systems is a company created by The University of Manchester to develop a range of industrial products, components and systems based on its broad portfolio of IP relating to graphene and other 2D technologies. www.graphene-enabled.com The company's mission is to create a number of stand-alone 'spin-out' businesses which will licence the University's IP for use in a specific, well-defined application and market. Graphene Enabled expects that these 'spin-out' businesses will develop products, components and systems for industrial and consumer applications. WideCells Group Plc are creating a Stem Cell research facility within the Core Technology Centre. The Institute of Stem Cell Technology will be harvesting and storing stem cells on behalf of its UK and European clients, for future use in treating rare blood diseases, and conducting cutting edge research on behalf of worldwide clients. The office will house the Group's head quarters, and Group's support team. WideCells Group Plc also has commercial operations in both Portugal and Spain, and operates a licensee stem cell research and storage facility in São Paulo, Brazil. WideCells Group Plc aiming to start offering CellPlan, the world's first stem cell healthcare plan, in 2017, to bridge the gap between the storage of stem cells, through to specialist referral, diagnosis and the necessary treatment plan of its clients globally. Frances Dutton - Group Accounting Manager and Matt Lord - Group Marketing Manager have joined WideCells Group Plc and are looking forward to Damilola Aboyeji joining the team shortly as ISCT Manager. The team are currently setting up the office support services for the group, and are looking forward to the laboratory refurbishment and stem cells storage area which should be completed before Christmas. The team are really delighted with the very modern, and spacious facilities that the Core Technology Facility provides. Fances Dutton adds - "The building services team have been really helpful in ensuring that our unit accommodation meets our needs. The reception team have been really welcoming too, which has been so nice as Matt and I are finding our way around the usual business activities of the University.
