Update
In 2017 we will continue to roll out informative
events for our tenant companies to suit
their needs and to further our close working
relationship.
We are also very proud to continue to be an
official supporter of The Christie and look
forward to supporting their campaign with a
series of fundraising events for tenants and key
stakeholders.
Investments in small but improved enhancements
such as better signage and a more streamlined
service have been well received and we continue
to look for any improvements that can be made
to the overall UMIC events experience.
INNOVATION CENTRE
Manchester Paediatrics Conference returns for
its second year
The second Manchester Paediatrics conference
took place in October and UMIC events was
pleased to offer support for this event.
Organiser Olivia Sloan commented:
"UMIC is a fantastic venue which met our
needs perfectly. The lecture and tutorial
spaces are comfortable and modern and the
street space is really stunning."
"The venue feels light and airy whilst not
being too big for the number of people
who attended our conference. I would not
hesitate in recommending UMIC to other
student societies who require this sort of a
space for a conference."
This year has seen the continued
growth of the UMIC conference and
events business. Occupancy levels for
our events space has increased 50%
and we have welcomed new clients
and strengthened our support for
existing clients.
