21 Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) first event with UMIC In October the North West regional hub of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) hosted an event at UMIC for professional development. 65 Delegates attended from a range of organisations across the North West, with speakers including Linda Hindle (Allied Health Professional lead for Public Health England) and Steve Tatham / Garry Joyce from Healthcare Clinical Commissioning Groups. The event created space for Speech and Language Therapists (SLT) to reflect on changes in NHS provision and commissioning, with specific focus on understanding the value that SLT can bring to both individuals, and local communities. Organiser Dr Catherine Adams said: "The event was positively received and UMIC provided the perfect platform and environment to deliver this." This key event will be followed by a series of RCSLT hub events designed to stimulate creative and innovative approaches to SLT delivery. Continued support for the Alliance Manchester Business School The relationship continues and we are really pleased to be supporting further events and courses for Alliance Manchester Business School.
