November UMIC Core Training: Online Self-Assessment: Part 1, offered to all tenants so they can self-assess their own work stations and surrounding office areas. Any concerns can be communicated to their dedicated allocated H&S Reps. Key dates: 1 – 20 (for self-assessment online completion) UMIC Core Training: Assessor Training: Part 2, a dedicated training event for H&S Reps. This will allow key personnel to assess colleagues and manage any necessary change required for safe working environments. Key dates: TBC, Dalton Room UMIC Events & Catering Academy Autumn Tasting Menu Launch Please join us to sample the new autumn menus, created with you and your events in mind! The taster menu will be followed by light drinks and Guy Fawkes themed nibbles! Key dates: Wednesday 5, 15.30 – 17.30 UMIC Insights: Presents James Baker, National Graphene Institute After a highly successful talk for the UMI 3 group earlier the year, Business Director James Baker is invited back to discuss the impact of the National Graphene Institute since its opening in March by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne. A complimentary light lunch will be served for tenants from 12.30 with James speaking from 13.00. Key dates: Wednesday 11, Dalton Room, 12.30 – 13.30 UMIC Supplier Showcase and Open Day: Repeating the success of June's event, we will again be inviting a range of suppliers to demonstrate, showcase and discuss their products and services. We hope this will provide a great opportunity for you to meet new contacts and strengthen current relationships. If there are any companies you would like to see, please let us know and we can invite them in. Key dates: Wednesday 25, the Dalton Room and Street December UMI 3 Christmas Charity Christmas Bake off & Drinks Reception UMI 3 invite you celebrate the festive period and show off your culinary baking skills! A festive bake off where anything goes, as long as its made by you and has a festive theme! Whether you're good at icing cakes, baking home cooked breads or rivalling the best French Patisserie, this is just for you! Even if you are a novice or don't know your baking powder from baking soda, just pop on your apron and oven gloves and have a go. The winners will be picked from a judging panels and receive an exciting prize! The afternoon will culminate in the Core Technology Facility's Atrium with a range of festive themed mock tails, drinks and nibbles. If tenants make any crafts such as cards or gifts and would like to sell these, please get in touch too. Each entry is £3 with all proceeds to going to our new and affiliated charity, the Christie.
