CONFERENCING AND EVENTS UPDATE… UMIC's Conferencing and Events facilities are in the heart of Manchester's vibrant academic and business community within the Core Technology Facility (CTF), an environment in which ideas spark and innovation and enterprise meet. Our meeting rooms are dedicated spaces for busy people to think, discuss and plan, work through agendas, achieve results, innovate and burst into action. All of our purpose-built rooms are fully-equipped for professional presentations with a data projector, flipchart and free Wi-Fi access included as standard. They are the first graduates of IQuBit – UMIP's digital business accelerator - and won second prize in the technology category of the University's Venture Further 2013 business start-up competition. Simon said: "The investment is a great chance to develop our product further, as well as for developing other products, expanding our user base, scaling of our team and professionalising our company structures.
