UMIC Events welcomes the first World Teachers Day celebrations event for EENET Event organiser Ingrid Lewis commented: "It was a fantastic venue, definitely top of the list for any future events. The catering was excellent too. I don't think we received a single complaint about anything (food, drinks, accessibility, light, heat, toilets, etc) which has to be a first. Everyone is saying how perfect the venue is for accessibility – which for us is essential since we work in the field of inclusion and disability." UMIC welcomed the Heart British Foundation Supporters Day In July, we hosted the British Heart Foundation supporters day. The primary audience was for people who donated, volunteered or fundraised for the BHF over the past year. The day finished with the BHF's Heart Hero Awards, which recognise and reward supporters, fundraisers, volunteers and partners who have made an exceptional contribution to the BHF's Fight for Every Heartbeat. Jennifer Delaney from the division of Cardiovascular said of her experience: "Just wanted to get in touch to say thank you so much for all your help, and patience, with yesterday's BHF day. It really went off so well, and very much due to your efforts and being so accommodating to us and to the BHF. So thank you very much, really appreciated." Continued support for the Alliance Manchester Business School The relationship between UMIC and the business school continues to grow and we are really pleased to be supporting further events and courses right the way up to 2018. We have seen extra BAE Programme dates added and welcome back the Manchester Management Development Programme for a second year.
