Express Licensing is UMIP's fast-track transaction
route for non-patented, or "Express", IP.
If you have created copyright materials or research reagents as part of your work at the University
(whether that be in an academic or administrative role) we can help you to protect them and
disseminate them to universities, public healthcare organisations, companies or individuals across
the world.
To facilitate this activity UMIP, set up an online licensing platform called Click2Go – this enables
customers access to Express IP assets with simple click-through licences, online payment and
digital downloads.
We also work with specialist partners like Ximbio and Oxford University Innovation, who act as
distributors for research reagents and healthcare tools respectively.
In the coming year we will be promoting our Express Licensing activity across campus and
explaining the benefits of engaging with UMIP – including the positive economic and societal
impacts that working with us can have.
