UMIP's new
Entrepreneur-in-Residence
for Lifesciences
In July 2017, we appointed Dr Martino
Picardo as our new Entrepreneur-in-
Residence for Lifesciences. Martino
previously worked as CEO for Stevenage
Bioscience Catalyst and also as MD of
UMIC, the University's Innovation Centre.
Martino works with UMIP and academic
colleagues to help identify and evaluate
commercially and scientifically promising
innovations which can then be spun out
of the University as businesses. He is
helping to fast-track these spin-outs to the
marketplace by accessing entrepreneur
and investment networks.
Martino has prepared a short video which
further explains his role and what he
wants to achieve.
