INNOVATION CENTRE £1.3M Refurbishment Plan A £1.3M refurbishment plan is set to take place, plans include the creation of a business hub, improvements to our conference and meeting room facilities, upgrades to the rest rooms, energy saving measures and lots of behind the scenes improvements to ensure both buildings operate at optimal levels to ensure tenant satisfaction and safety. Occupancy levels remain high with an average of 97% over the last year. One of our flagship tenants, WideCells Group PLC, the healthcare services company focused on providing stem cell services and ground- breaking insurance for stem cell treatment, was ranked as the 21st most disruptive company globally by DISRUPT 100. The DISRUPT 100 is an annual index celebrating the businesses with the most potential to influence, change or create new global markets. The report tracks the world's most disruptive businesses, compiled and curated by the world's leading entrepreneurs, investors and business people. UMIC look forward to another year working with WideCells and hope we can continue to provide valuable support as they grow. UMIC continues to work with its tenants to provide the high levels of service expected. UMIC has worked together with tenants to resolve damage caused by extreme weather conditions to the building this year and thanks tenants greatly for their co-operation. UMIC continues to liaise with tenants to offer a series of events which will benefit them, events around funding and investment possibilities are planned for the coming year.
