It is with regret and much sadness that we announce the passing of our
Chairman, Dr. Krishnamurthy Rajagopal, on Thursday, 10th November
2016, following illness.
Raj, an alumnus of the University, commenced his role as non-executive
director and Chairman over 6 years ago and has been instrumental in
developing UMI
3
's business strategy with CEO, Clive Rowland.
Raj held executive and non-executive directorships at various companies
including BOC Group Plc and was also was a member of the Council of
Science and Technology, the Prime Ministerial advisory body and played
an active role in Government science and innovation policy.
Raj was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science degree by Cranfield
University in 2004.
