HUMAN ROBOT INTERACTION RAIN PROGRESS // In the RAIN community, I have met different actors concerned about nuclear futures in the U.K. Such interaction provides valuable insight on which to formulate perspectives and recommendations. In the past year, I have published several scientific articles in high-ranked peer-reviewed journals (among others in; Nuclear Technology, Journal of Cultural Economy, Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, Critique Internationale), and I am preparing submissions to international conferences in my field of expertise. 15 FUTURE ASPIRATIONS // I aspire to generate fruitful discussions among three concerned groups: 1. those who produce knowledge about the unknown, 2. those who seek to extend the limits of the known to define the terms of policy action, and 3. those who study how the unknown is made knowable. Convinced in the importance of creating a common knowledge base among the RAIN community and in generating the opportunity to reflect on our own daily activities, I have designed a seminar series named Making the Unknown Knowable that will bring together leading international scholars who study the production of knowledge on extreme environments and/or in extreme situations. In addition, I am currently contributing to the development of a postgraduate course on 'social studies of nuclear', which will hopefully provide the RAIN community with an excellent opportunity to better grasp the co-productive relationship between technology and society. I am interested in continuing to study the generative force of tests and testing, and negotiations involved defining which specific 'values' are to be inscribed in standardised robotic technologies. I would like to organise an international workshop on 'Values, Uncertainty, and Extreme Environments' and provide a space for thought, not only for academics but also for practitioners.
