74 PHASE TWO + + WHAT NEXT? RAIN PHASE TWO It is our great pleasure to introduce RAIN PHASE TWO. We are extremely grateful to UKRI and EPSRC for the provision of a further twelve months of funding which allows our next phase of work to continue until Mar 2022. 2022 PHASE ONE 2021 2020 2019 2018 2017 The brief is a progressive development from that in Phase One. RAIN will continue to pursue research and deployments primarily for the benefit of the UK nuclear industry but Phase Two expects more inclusion of wider industry sectors. This will manifest in non-nuclear deployments which will benefit new communities as well as provide reciprocal benefits to the nuclear sector. It is truly an exciting time. It has been an absolute pleasure to get this far with RAIN and to have helped contribute to the wonderful nuclear robotics community. Thank you for taking the time to read this report and for all of the support you have provided to help us on our way. There is only the possibility of Phase Two because of that support. There has been an enormous cast of people helping our core research team to achieve great things. We look forward to continued support from UKRI & EPSRC, our Advisory Board, facility managers, operators, safety and security teams, technicians, admin support, engineers, designers, and everyone else in between that helps contribute to our collective ambitions.
