TWO YEARS OF PROGRESS
In the second year of the RAIN
Hub, we have strengthened our
collaborations and built on our
previous successes.
Through our Expansion scheme, we have
added three new universities to the Hub.
A further 13 secondment and innovation
projects have also been funded, enabling
our researchers to collaborate, discover
and develop.
We have deployed robots at Sellafield,
Chernobyl and AWE in addition to testing at
the UKAEA facilities. Our open days have been
hugely successful. Demonstrating technology
to the nuclear community has strengthened
current links and forged new collaborations.
The Remote Handling and Remote Inspection
Working Groups have built considered
demonstrators, based on feedback from the
nuclear community and contributions from the
breadth of research expertise across the hub.
In this report we provide information on the
Hub, our progress and future priorities.
We always welcome requests for more
information on any of our activities.
