OUR ENABLING GOALS UMIP GOAL ONE: QUALITY PEOPLE To be an exemplary employer, as UMIP, successful in recruiting, developing and retaining outstanding people and who engage positively with those academic members of staff who are creators of IP. Principal Strategies > Appointing quality people; > Practising equality of opportunity and valuing diversity; > Rewarding, supporting and developing employees; Target > Empowering individuals appropriately; > Regular and useful internal communication; By 2015, to have implemented comprehensive relevant employment practices and an organisational structure which allows UMIP employees to be the most effective that they are able to be as individuals and to provide a quality service to the University, to IP originators and any contracting party. KPIs > To hold/retain "Investors-in-People" accreditation; > Recognition of individuals by external organisations; > Training and Development programmes for individuals completed annually; > Balanced Scorecard for individuals completed annually, with interim reviews.
