UMIP consists of an IP Scouting team
consisting of Commercialisation
Executives, an IP Development and
Partnering team and an Enterprise
and Business Development team,
backed up by an IP Services and
Information team.
This team manages the University's
patent, trademark and design
registration portfolio and conduct
due deligence activities prior to IP
commercialisation. The team also
advises the University on IP issues.
The teams have been structured to
provide the best possible service to
all four faculties, with the
Commercialisation Executives being
your first "port of call", and the IP
Development and Partnering team
and Enterprise and Business
Development team focusing on the
project management of those IP
projects which are progressing
through UMIP's innovation and
development process.
