ARCHITECTURES, INTEGRATION AND STANDARDS Lead: Rob Skilton, RACE Robotic and autonomous systems working seamlessly together will maximise their use in the nuclear industry. Developing a robust framework, CoreteX, which standardises the communication between different technologies enabling simpler, modular integration. Digital twins have huge potential for future management of complex nuclear sites, and the robotic tools that can improve the safety and efficiency of decommissioning. A Condition Monitoring System (CMS) has the dual purpose of identifying upcoming faults and helping to plan maintenance activities on active nuclear sites. KEY PROGRESS • Work on the glovebox demonstrator including; - Integration of different systems from across the Hub. - Development of simulations and operations management system. - Improving control of manipulators and grasping. • Developing a Condition Monitoring System (CMS) for the JET remote handling system. This includes preliminary work: - Analysing previous data to create a taxonomy of faults. - Gathering baseline data for normal conditions. - Running simulations based on known data. 17
