These ideas ranged from FinTech applications and novel approaches
using machine learning through to artificial intelligence software for
molecular biologists. We are excited to be working with such a wide
variety of ideas and look forward to monitoring the progress of these
ideas as they develop further.
New for 2018/19 an Open Call for Ignition applications; if you have an
idea for an innovative solution to a business, societal, or environmental
problem we want to give you the chance to road test your ideas.
Funding of up to £2000 is available for UoM staff, academics, research
students (inc DBA, MBA) and recent graduates (within two years).

IGNITION
Our Ignition activity focuses on raising awareness of
entrepreneurship and provides support for early-stage
innovators to test the feasibility of an idea. Following
the success of last year's call for the next generation of
entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas, we are pleased
to announce that we granted 20 Ignition awards allocating
over £35,000 across the University.
